Whether you want to get extra space to eat and prep food or want somewhere to gather and play cards, a folding camping table is a great addition to your camping gear. There are many options, some big, some small, some simple, and some fancy. Here are the best options for all different kinds of campers.

Folding camping tables for every type of camper

Best Folding Camping Tables for Eating

When it comes to cooking, we often forget how much counter space we need for chopping, marinating, and serving! A folding camping table can give you all the extra space you need while camping without taking up too much room in storage.

These tables are all great portable options, each a little different than the other. Find the one that works best for your type of camping!

Camping Set Up with Tent

Cosco Folding Table

When you think of folding tables, you think of this Cosco white folding table. Every school, event, and office has these fold-up white tables that can be pulled out of the storage room anytime they need extra table space.

The table is simple, folding in half and bending the legs when not in use. It folds out to 6 ft, providing ample table space to seat six people comfortably.

While heavy-duty, they’re not the most portable thing on the market. They work best for those camping with trucks or trailers, AKA those with enough room to store this table when laid flat. It folds into 36.5″(L) x 29.6″(D) x 3″(H).

KingCamp Aluminum Folding Camping Table

The next best option for campers is the KingCamp Aluminum Folding Camping Table. It retains the simple design as the above table but is much more compact for campers with less storage space.

Fully extended, it is 53.5″(D) x 27.5″(W) x 27.5″(H). So just shy of 4 ½ ft., it’s smaller than the Cosco table. It would fit four people comfortably, six people a little squished.

The table itself only weighs 17.6 pounds and fully folds into a carrying case that is 35” long. So if you want something more portable to bring camping or to the beach, this is an all-around good option for a standard dining table.

Coleman Outdoor Folding Table

On the even smaller end, you have the Coleman Outdoor Folding Table. This table is a square, measuring 27” x 27”. It has an aluminum top and steel legs.

This table is ideal for those on the go. It’s very light, only weighing 10 lbs, and compacts into a small case you can sling over your shoulder. This folding table would fit two people comfortably and four people a little squished.

Camp Field Folding Table

Now we’re getting a little fancy with this Camp Field Folding Table. This folding camping table allows you to have lots of storage beneath the table and zip up the compartments to keep it safe. This is great for longer stays where you want to place some items where they’re easy to access. Like snacks!!

You can adjust the height of the table, and the top measures 47.24” x 18.5. Once again, it would comfortably fit four people and squish in six.

The table comes in some fun colours like green and blue or with a faux wood top if you want to get snazzy with your setup.

Busy Bear Camp Kitchen

If you’re looking for a folding camp table for cooking, I love this one. The Busy Bear Camp Kitchen by Kuma has one of the best setups. There are two counter spaces, each with shelving beneath for storage for your cooking gear. They also have coverings if you want to keep them protected from debris.

In the middle is a raised platform to hold your camp stove with shelter from the wind. Beneath it is one more open shelf for storing items. The whole thing is a genius design!

I honestly can’t believe the whole thing is collapsible and fits into a little carrying case. The total table weighs 23.5 lbs, so it’s easy to carry.

ONIVIA Folding Picnic Table

If your campsite doesn’t come with its own picnic table, or you want to set one up at a park or beach, this ONIVA Folding Picnic Table is genius. It folds out into a small square table with seating for four.

In the center you can even place a standard-size beach umbrella in the center for some added shade. The table folds into a suitcase-style shape for transport, the whole thing weighing just 16 lbs.

This table has a lifetime guarantee, so you know it’s built to last. It can hold 250 lbs per seat and 20 lbs on the table. This is a great addition for families who want extra room for the kiddos to eat and hang out at.

Folding Side Tables for Camping

Avoid knocking your drink over on the ground and misplacing your flashlight. Instead, grab a handy side table to place next to your chair while you lounge.

Compact Camp Table

If you’re looking for a little table to accompany you while camping, this compact camp table is a great all-around option. You can use it for a couple of people to sit and eat dinner or to place it on the side of your chair to hold a drink, lantern, and your camping read.

The little table can support up to 60 lbs, which is pretty impressive given its small size. The frame is made out of aluminum, which is probably why it’s so sturdy.

While it doesn’t come with a carrying case, it folds up into a compact and easy-to-carry square.

Side Table With Storage Bag

Taking the simple design from above one step further, this folding camping table has a storage pouch beneath where you can store snacks, entertainment, drinks, and whatever else suits your fancy. It even has side pouches for things like phones or an easy-to-access flashlight.

The top of the table easily folds back for easy access to the storage pouch beneath. Outside of camping, this would be a great table to bring to the beach, a barbeque, while fishing, and even just in your backyard patio.

Glass Top Side Table

If you want something more elegant, this folding camping table has a glass top. This would work great for glampers and others with a more permanent camping spot. Or, for someone who wants something they can use at home but also take camping.

Since it has a glass top, it’s definitely not meant for the camper on the go, but rather for someone who wants something a little more contemporary and stylish for their outdoor setup. It still folds flat, so you can easily carry it where you need it.

Happy camping!
